Description
The first inhabitant of Split was the Roman emperor Diocletian who started to build his palace in this bay about 293 before Cristo. Despues of his abdication he retired to a palace of luxury to enjoy the rest of their days.
You will discover the basement corridors of the Palace and the main square Peristil-retaining the emperor worship of God such as luxury. Then you will visit the cathedral St.Domnius, the saint patron of Split, the temples of the palaces, as well as the emperor promenade of Split, the lively green open market and monuments not only of antiquity but also of the Middle Ages, Renaissance and Baroque.
